Welcome! The world that I knew when I took the above photo (mid-80’s) is gone. The area behind the ship now contains a budding business park, and the pier from which the picture was taken is currently the site of the Florida Aquarium, instead of the general cargo facility that once existed there. Due to changes in the industry which served as my home for 35 years, I now have the opportunity to indulge a Muse which has been resident, but generally unexpressed, for a long time. Since the early 1970’s I have displayed a proclivity for writing, and my current situation has facilitated the decision to discover if scribbling can be as rewarding as my previous occupation. My first book, The Devil’s Footprint, is a thriller novel that was born of my long experience in trans-ocean commerce, and I hope that you will have an opportunity to read and enjoy it. My second novel is titled Leonard and is a political and business satire which takes place in a world where rodents rule. My third book is a sequel to Leonard and titled Moralis Rodentus, an irreverent look at the world of rodents. Most recently published is Markus: A Year in the Life of a rural German Shepherd, a diary of the first year of Markus' life in our home. I have started work on a Children's book and hope to have it completed before the end of 2012.
